At DD 2025, The Charcoal Project presented “The Modern-Day Nizam’s Den”—a contemporary interpretation of the opulent private retreats once associated with the Nizams of Hyderabad.
The concept explored the idea of a personal sanctuary where heritage meets modern living. Inspired by the grandeur, cultural richness, and refined aesthetics of the Nizam era, the installation balanced timeless elegance with functionality, creating an immersive environment that felt both regal and relevant.

Every element was thoughtfully composed to evoke warmth, sophistication, and a sense of storytelling, celebrating India’s design legacy while embracing contemporary lifestyles.
